Rutgers University Student Assembly (RUSA)
The Rutgers University Student Assembly (RUSA) is the official governing body for undergraduate students at the New Brunswick and Piscataway campuses.
RUSA exists to not only serve Rutgers students, but to also empower the student body to be all that it can be. From mobilizing students to affect change on campus and in our communities, to working with university administration, faculty, and staff to help students with their daily lives, RUSA is committed to the student body and works hard to live up to expectations.
RUSA advocates on behalf of student concerns regarding official policies and priorities; provides a forum for the open expression of student ideas; and allocates student fee funding to over 400 student organizations through the RUSA Allocations Board. RUSA’s goals include amplifying the student's voice, bridging communities to establish productive lines of communication, and engaging students to take an active role in issues within their communities.
The Student Assembly meets Thursdays in the Student Activities Center Raritan River Lounge (613 George St., New Brunswick). RUSA Allocations meets Monday evenings in the College Ave Student Center (Student Affairs Conference Room, 126 College Ave., New Brunswick).
RUSA is advised by Student Centers and Activities’ professional staff members.

Governing Councils
Rutgers University-New Brunswick has several other students governing councils that represent their specific school and populations. These are the: Rutgers Business Governing Association, SEBS Governing Council, Douglass Governing Council, Pharmacy Governing Council, Mason Gross Student Government Association, and the Engineering Governing Council.
