Student Centers - Hours of Operation

All Student Centers will be closed through Monday, January 17. The College Ave Student Center will reopen Tuesday, January 18. Busch, College Ave, Douglass and Livingston Student Centers will reopen Saturday, January 29. Cook Student Center and the Student Activities Center will reopen Monday, January 31. During the time our Centers will be closed, the COVID test vending machines will be accessible to the campus community from 9am-4pm. Individuals will be able to swipe into the front entrances of the building only.

Personal meeting rooms for academic engagement are now available to be reserved in the Centers. Students can reserve same-day personal meeting rooms by visiting the Information Desk at the Student Center the day you would like the reservation to determine availability.

Student Centers and Activities is an integral part of the educational mission of Rutgers University. We enhance the academic experiences of our students through an extensive array of cultural, educational, social, and leadership opportunities. As the center of campus community life, we offer a variety of programs, services, and community gathering spaces that meet the varied and diverse needs of our Rutgers community. Through volunteer and student employment opportunities, we provide developmental experiences in leadership and social responsibility and create an inclusive environment for individuals to interact and learn from one another.

Student Centers and Activities offers vibrant community spaces within our six student centers, provides advisement and student advocacy for more than 500 student clubs and organizations, is home to more than 80 fraternities and sororities, organizes immersive and diverse leadership opportunities, and implements signature campus experiences and events that foster school pride.

Preparing for the Spring Semester: Time Management and Organization

As the semester kicks off, it is best to be organized as a student leader. Join the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership to discuss strategies for time management and finding ways to keep yourself as a student leader as well as your organization organized for events, meetings, and overall successful semester. Join Late Knight in the Busch Student Center for fun activities like making your own hand lotion, DIY vision boards, and back by popular demand… stuff-a-plush! This Late Knight event will include photo snow globes and a chili bar.

Treasurer Training for all Organizations (Required for Provisional Orgs)

February 11 | 3pm

Are you the treasurer of your organization on campus? Attending this treasurer training will provide you with helpful resources regarding how to manage your organization’s funds, as well as be beneficial in learning the rules and regulations of the Student Activities Business Office (SABO). In order to become fully registered at Rutgers University, provisional student organization treasurers must attend this training, however, any student organization officer is welcome to attend. Join us for a Disney themed night. Come sing Disney karaoke, take green screen photos with your favorite villains, and make your own magic potion (essential oils) or decorative pillows. From Campus Leader to Workplace Boss: Identifying and Articulating Your Transferable Skills

Are you a student leader on campus? Have you ever felt overwhelmed by how to translate your on-campus leadership experience into information relevant to the off-campus world on your resume or in an interview? Join the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership and the Office of Career Exploration and Success team for a conversation on best practices regarding the use of NACE Career Competencies as a framework to communicate the skill sets you’ve developed as student leaders to various audiences. By the end of this workshop, you will feel more confident about how you discuss your on-campus experience for off-campus audiences in contexts like resumes and interviews!
