Susan Romano

Title: Assistant Director, Student Involvement and Leadership
Susan Romano joined Rutgers University in 1990 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership. She oversees Commuter Programs and Services, the Rutgers Commuter Student Association, the Rutgers Business Governing Association, the New Organization Recognition Process, Specialty Catering, Travel Planning, and Risk Management for student organizations. Susan also advises over 50 student organizations and supervises student staff with the Student Involvement and Leadership team. Over the past 33 years, she has held a variety of positions in Student Affairs which have included planning major events and concerts, advising program boards, developing trainings for student organizations and student staff, and overseeing public relations staff and projects for student centers and activities. Susan obtained her bachelor’s degree in natural science with a minor in psychology from Hofstra University and her master’s degree in student personnel services from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
