Neela Patel

Title: Executive Director

Neela Patel joined Rutgers University Student Affairs in 1998 and currently serves as the Executive Director for Student Centers and Activities. She oversees Campus Programs, Student Centers, Meetings and Events, Involvement and Leadership, Technical Services, WRSU, and Esports. The Student Centers and Activities team works together to enhance the student experiences and advance the campus community through programming, leadership development, involvement, student employment, and services. Prior to her role as the Interim Executive Director, Neela served as the Senior Director for Student Centers and Event Services. She has held numerous roles in the Student Centers over the last 20 years at Rutgers. Neela is a proud alum, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a masters of arts in Adult Education also from Rutgers University. Neela is very involved in professional development and service and has presented at national and regional conferences. Neela is active in ACUI where has served as a Region VII Regional Director, Annual Conference Planning Team, At-Large Board of Trustee, President-Elect, and is currently serving as President.
