Carlos Ortiz

Title: Campus Programs Graduate Intern
Carlos Ortiz joined Rutgers University Student Affairs in 2022 and is currently a first-year graduate student in the Rutgers University College Student Affairs Ed.M. program where he serves as the Graduate Intern for Campus Programs. In his role, Carlos advises the Community Service Committee at the Rutgers University Programming Association. The Community Service Committee hosts events such as Scarlet Day of Service, where over a thousand students volunteer at service sites all over New Jersey in one day. Prior to his role as the Graduate Intern, Carlos served as the Director for Traditions and Community at RUPA putting on traditional events such as Hot Dog Day and Homecoming Bed Races. He also previously served as the Vice President for the Community Service organization RU Pilot Me which mentored elementary-age New Brunswick school children. Carlos graduated with honors from Rutgers University in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
